TEACH Fund was founded to provide education and healthcare to Tibetans in regions where little or none is available.

The founder and board members involved with TEACH are dedicated to making access to the basic
human rights of education and healthcare available to all Tibetans.
Founder & President: Tenley Nyima
Tenley Nyima, founder & president of TEACH, works at Clarian Health, an Indiana University affiliate hospital, Methodist Hospital and Rally Hospital for Children & Patient Care departments.

Board Director: Dr. Joel Gold
Dr. Gold is a graduate of Brown University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors in neuroscience, and of McGill University Medical School in Montreal, Canada. He received his psychiatric training in the NYU/Bellevue Hospital residency program, and continued as a fellow in geriatric psychiatry at NYU Medical Center. Dr. Gold has been working in the Survivors of Torture Program since 1998, when he co-founded the Tibetan support group, which he now co-leads. He is also a staff psychiatrist at Bellevue Hospital.
Vice President: Kristina Sikes
Kristina Sikes is a graduate of Columbia University with a degree in English Literature. In addition to serving as Vice President for TEACH, she is also Corporate Liaison for the New York based organization Survivors of Torture.

After a summer internship at the Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art in New York, Melissa Dittmann is entering her second year of studies at Indiana University.

We are always welcoming new volunteers either in the U.S. or in Tibet.
